Why Rewired
Built for Wellington's developers.
The full brand story, the team, and the standards we hold ourselves to - for developers doing careful contractor vetting.
We read
the market right.
Rewired Group was formed when three Wellington industry experts noticed the same gap in the market: property developers kept asking for a single contractor who could manage asbestos removal, demolition, and earthworks from start to finish.
AMR Team - asbestos removal specialists with six years of Wellington trading, Wired Earthworks - a 15-year Wellington civil business and John Wickens 20 years in construction and demolition, had been working Wellington's sites for a combined 48 years. Each discipline had its own team, its own credentials, and its own client base. The next logical step was to bring all three under one roof.
Rewired Group began trading in 2025. Within the first four weeks, we completed two projects and were awarded a third. The market told us we had read it right.

What
we stand for.
Safety, without compromise
At Rewired Group, safety culture starts before anyone sets foot on site. It's in how we recruit, how we onboard, and how we hold ourselves accountable on every job. Moana Franklin leads our H&S function - and her background in psychology and HR means our systems are built around people, not just paperwork.
Quality over quantity
We are deliberate about what we take on so we can deliver properly on everything we commit to. We are not the largest contractor in Wellington, and we have no intention of being. We intend to be the most reliable one to work with - which means being honest about scope, honest about timelines, and following through on both.
Certainty for developers
Ambiguous scopes, shifting timelines, and surprise costs are the enemy of development programmes. From the way we build our quotes to the way we communicate on site, we work to give you confidence in your programme - not anxiety.
Sustainable practice
We work hard to minimise the environmental impact of every project. That means partnering with salvage and recovery companies to maximise material reuse, crushing and recycling concrete where possible, and managing trucking to reduce unnecessary carbon impact. The sites we work on do not belong to us - we treat them accordingly.
The Team
WIth the experience
Five people who between them hold the region's most demanding contractor credentials and still work on site.

Ryan Franklin
Director, Asbestos Removal
Ryan has 12 years of experience in the asbestos industry, including major long-term remediation projects such as the NZ Post Wellington site.
He holds both WorkSafe Class A and Class B removal licences and asbestos removal supervisory qualifications.

Part of the
Wellington community
The Rewired Group team are all Wellington-based locals; we live, work, and socialise in the communities our projects are located in. We support local schools, sports clubs, martial arts academies, and youth development programmes across the region.
